Then and Now
Then and Now. The difference in my work in 1 year, 2014 vs 2015. Changing from Studio Photography to Outdoor Photography was the best thing I ever did for my Photography business. Granted, my studio photos were taken when I was still learning and they are terrible to say the least. But still there is no comparison to me between studio and outdoor.
I also decided to make some changes. I have stopped doing all types of genre’s and I’m now only specializing in Children’s styled shoots and Maternity photography. The ages for my children’s photography is 4-11 years.
Making this decision was a difficult one. I had to start learning right from the beginning again. After spending this last year working my butt off, I am finally happy with where I am going.
When I first decided to make the change to outdoor photography, using only natural light, I was really frustrated as my photos were still really bad. However today I am glad that I never gave up.
Thank you to everyone who believed in me. The hardest part of this journey was believing in myself. I know that as photographers we will never stop learning. I have learnt so much this past year and plan on continuing doing so.
If you have a dream – pursue it! Don’t ever give up. It will take a lot of hard work, learning something new every day, but in the end you will get there.
I know this will sound cheesy and all photographers say this, but I have really, honestly and truly have found what I love doing. I am so grateful to my clients who have booked me this year. Without all of you, I couldn’t have done this. We are now ending the year, and I can’t wait for 2016. I am excited to see where the next year will take me.
Happy New Year to everyone.
